For many boat owners, space is a big issue. This Pyle Marine 8-inch 600-watt super slim active subwoofer takes that to heart, packing serious bass into an ultra-slim package. And it's white and waterproof, so it'll look and sound great on your boat. Works great in any space, especially under-seat installations.
The PLMRBS8 accepts both low-level RCA and high-level speaker line inputs, so it should work with most marine receivers no problem.
The unit also boasts adjustable input sensitivity (0.2V-3V), so you can match the sub to your receiver with minimal distortion.
A remote bass boost level control lets you adjust bass frequencies to a comfortable level, and make quick adjustments based on programming/etc. when necessary. Bass boost is centered around 45Hz and can be adjusted from 0 to +12 dB.
The built-in low-pass filter (50-150Hz) ensures the subwoofer gets the frequencies it's supposed too, and prevents annoying subsonics from distorting your signal.
Thermal, short, and overload protection circuits extend the life of your product and ensure the safety of your vehicle if something goes wrong.
Because the PLMRBS8 is just three inches deep, it works great in nearly any space. It's a perfect choice for under-seat installations--the small footprint means space is not a problem.

An extremely durable, yet lightweight cone is vital to prevent cone failure at high sound pressure levels. Pioneer's New IMPP Composite Seamless Cones meet this need perfectly while delivering accurate yet powerful bass.

A speaker cone is essential for air to vibrate and carry sound to listeners' ears. Our new Champion Series subwoofer cones have 14% more surface area than conventional subwoofer cones, for louder, better bass reproduction.
Pioneer offers single voice coil (TS-W309S4) and dual voice coil (TS-W309D4) 12-inch designs. The Dual 4 ohm subwoofer has the flexibility to be wired at 2 or 8 ohms, to get the most from the amplifier. To simplify installation even further, all speaker terminals have been placed on one side of the subwoofer rather than on opposite sides.
The movement of air within the subwoofer is smoothly channeled for optimal ventilation to ensure a quick response and clear reproduction of bass.
